RFNet's Indoor M-Type is a new line of products which is designed to address the needs for hotspot operators to increase the efficiency of the network infrastructure by providing access to different networks through a single access point.

Supporting 4 SSID's, the RFNet's M-Type products can be set to serve up to 4 networks and each with independent 802.1Q VLAN tagging. It is compliant with IEEE802.11g standard with data rate of up to 54 Mbps, and adjustable Transmit Power for wireless cell sizing.

The additional LAN ports (2 on AP-2001g-M and 4 on APRT-2518g-M) allow applications such as VoIP, IPTV and tele-conferencing to be supported. It is ideal for deployment in meeting and hotel rooms where both wire and wireless connectivity is essential.

Data encryption such as WEP, WPA-PSK and WPA/WPA2 provides the necessary security and makes interoperability with other equipments possible. Enhanced access control can be made with the use of MAC address filtering. The firmware is upgradeable through web-server and Telnet console, and with intelligent wireless networking and easy product configuration features either by web-based or through Telnet. This is one of the most cost-effective solution for hospitality market.
