Mr. Lee Chyan, Deric

Managing Director (Co-Founder)

Mr Lee Co-Founded RFNet Technologies Pte Ltd (RFNet) with five other researchers from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) of Singapore in 2001. Since the Company inception, Mr Lee has led the Company’s Sales & Marketing, Technology Roadmap, Solution Architecture Design and Operational Strategy, Profit & Loss, and Product and Solutions Planning. Mr Lee also actively conducts market and business development with customers, identifies, establish and form alliances with key technology partners and chipset manufacturers. In focusing on developing solutions to meet and solve customers’ business needs, RFNet is able to expand its customer base, spanning from Asia, Middle East, Europe and the United States.

 

Mr Lee attained his Master of Engineering Degree by research from NTU in the field of wireless signal propagation, Digital Modulation and Indoor Wireless Network. Mr Lee was also the Technical Advisor to the board of “Radio Engineer Development Program (REDP)” advance diploma at Nanyang Polytechnic from 1997 to 2000.

 

Mr Lee also has strong and successful technical skill in Radio Frequency and System Architecture design. He was the system architecture for several wireless train borne CCTV surveillance and Wireless depot infrastructure projects with IT security.

 

Prior to RFNet, Mr Lee was the Assistant Manager for Kenwood R&D Singapore, where he designed several models of professional VHF and UHF Land Mobile Radio Transceiver handheld and vehicle mount products. Mr Lee also led regional (South East Asia) type approval efforts and, under his leadership, together with his team they developed and designed the Kenwood Family Radio Network (FRS) radio UBZ-LF14 family, which was crowned “Best Consumer Product” at CES 1999, Las Vegas, USA.

Mr. Gan Tia Seng, Sherwin

Project Director (Co-Founder)

Mr. Gan is responsible for the Company’s project implementation, operation strategy and planning, while overseeing the overall day-to-day operation of the Company. He has vast experience in R&D, manufacturing, quality control and financial planning. Prior to his current position, Mr Gan was the Research & Development Technical Director from 2001 to 2006 and was in-charge of new product and technology development, and he was the Company Operation Director from 2007 to 2010.

​Mr Gan attained his Master of Science (Electrical Engineering) Degree from National University of Singapore (NUS), majoring in Wireless Digital Communication and RF Engineering, and has more than 10 years cumulative experience in Research & Development. Prior to RFNet, Mr Gan was at the Network Technology Research Centre (NTRC) at NTU, focusing on Wireless LAN PMIA card and Access Point design, and in Thomson Multimedia Pte Ltd, involving in designing and production transfer of 900 MHz digital cordless phone and 46/49 MHz cordless phone. His core engineering skill is in RF circuit design, base band circuit design, firmware and software driver programming.
